Exam Pattern Of State Bank Probationary Officers Exam


Written Exam :

The written test comprises of Objective and Descriptive type questions. Both will be conducted on the same day.

Time:

3 Hrs(Objective – 2 hrs and descriptive – 1 hr).

The Objective test Sections Wise Syllabus As Follows Selection Process:

consists of Written Test (250 marks), GD and Interview (50 marks).

  • Test of English Language – English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, usage of words etc.,
  • Test of Reasoning
  • Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation (questions on choosing the best answer from the given data, situation based/time based questions can also be expected)
  • Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers – questions about current events, marketing news & computer operations,definitions could be asked.

Descriptive Paper : The descriptive test is to test your written english skills and questions on letter-writing, essay, comprehension could be asked.Answers have to be written in long answer format.

Marks : Candidates have to pass in each objective test and must score minimum 40% aggregate(average of 4 objective tests) to qualify for next process.Also the descriptive paper of candidates with high percentage rank only, will be evaluated .No information on negative marks have been mentioned, in the notice.

GD & Interview : The bank will call candidates who have ranked high in the written exam ,for Group Discussion & Interview.SBI has also mentioned – candidates three times the vacancies(i.e, around 5100 candidates) would be called for GD/ Interview.The minimum average marks to be scored in GD & Interview is 40% & final selection will be made on the basis of a merit list.
