Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with Head Office in Bangalore and pan India presence with over 3500 branches, invites ON-LINE APPLICATIONS, from candidates who are qualified and holding a valid Common Written Examination-PO/MT-2014-15 score card issued by IBPS, for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

Eligible candidates, who are having valid IBPS CWE-PO/MT-2014-15 Score Card are requested to apply ON-LINE through Bank´s website www.canarabank.com. No other means / mode of Application will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification (as on 01.11.2015): Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the central govt or a pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/11th std of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/pre-university or any equivalent examination/diploma in banking recognized by central/state govt or UT administration or a pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent

Computer Literacy: Apart from relevant qualification for the above post, computer literacy shall be an essential qualification, which the candidate must either possess or acquire within six months of joining the bank

Probation: On appointment, candidates will be on probation for a minimum period of 6 months. On successful completion of the probation, and if found suitable, they will be confirmed in the services of the Bank

Candidates are required to apply on-line through bank´s website www.centralbankofindia.co.in only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted

Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active for the duration of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to/of any other person

In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line

Candidates are first required to go to the bank´s website www.centralbankofindia.co.in and click on the home page to open the link career. Thereafter, open the recruitment notification entitled central bank of India clerical recruitment project-2015. Take a Print of the fees payment receipt. Fill in the fee payment receipt in a clear and legible handwriting in block letters

Go to the nearest central bank CBS Branch with the fee payment receipt and pay, in cash, the appropriate application fee in the designated CBS account as given in the fee payment receipt. The details of fee to be paid is indicated below

SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen Rs 50/-; General/OBC Rs 250/-

Please note that even if the date for online registration is extended the dates for payment of application fee will remain unchanged i.e. 09th November, 2015 to 08th December, 2015

IBPS Common Exams for all the Banks

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body in India, which started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). With its Head Office is Mumbai, IBPS mainly focuses on Bank Recruitment. In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the recruitment of officers and clerks in in Indian Public Sector banks. It is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 29 public sector and regional rural banks to take Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). IBPS periodically accepts exam applications from candidates at their website, https://www.ibps.in. The exams are organized in online mode at various locations in the country. After passing the online test successful candidates have to go through an interview process. It is on the basis of the interview, candidates are placed in regional rural banks and public sector banks.
