Candidates who are applying for the examination must fulfil the requirements like age limit and qualifications. Below you can see the complete list of eligibility details such as qualification, age limit, minimum marks/scores.
Age limit for TNPSC group IV, varies according to the posts and reservations. The candidates required minimum 18 years age and upper age relaxation will be as per the government rules where SCs, STs and notified communities aren’t given maximum age, others are given the limit of 30 years.

Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification: Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.
Note :The candidates who have not passed SSLC Examination or its equivalent are not eligible even if they possess a higher qualification.
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:-

Candidates who possess intermediate grade shall choose Junior Grade column, as the intermediate grade is not treated as equivalent to Senior Grade.
Candidates for both the posts i.e. Typist and Steno-Typist, Grade III Shall be selected in the following Order:-Candidate should have passed the "Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation" awarded by the Technical Education Department.
Note:"Candidates who do not possess the said qualification (viz. Computer Qualification) conducted by the Technical Education Department may also apply. If selected, they should acquire such qualification within the period of their probation".
(d) Preference in SelectionIn respect of post of Field Surveyor other things being equal preference shall be given to the candidates with ITI qualification in survey.
Selection Procedure:Selection will be complete on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination, post/Unit option exercised by the applicants.
