West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is the statutory Organization of the Government of West Bengal administered autonomous examining authority for the Standard 12 Examination (or Higher Secondary level or Pre-University level Examination) of West Bengal, India.

The examination for the 12th standard (+2) is called the "Uchyaa Madhyamik Examination" or Higher Secondary Examination. This is better known by its short-form HS. The Higher Secondary examination is conducted annually and simultaneously all over the state of West Bengal and also in affiliates of the board located outside West Bengal and elsewhere India.

     It is notified for all concerned that the Higher Secondary Examination,2010(Regular,CC and Special) under New Syllabus will be held as per following programme.

    The Examination will be held in only one paper on each day from 10 a.m to 1.15 p.m except Environmental Education which will be from 2.30 p.m to 3.30 pm.the dates and corresponding subjects are as under

All Practical Examinations should be completed by 28.04.2010 positively.

The Council may,if necessary,change the above dates with due intimation to all concerned.
