DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, a German Academic Exchange Service offers special Scholarships to the deserving candidates, in Disaster Management in view of a rising number of earthquakes, floods, civil conflicts, health risks, etc. The international awareness on the need for disaster preparedness is growing. In order to avoid tragedy and conflicts and the need to mitigate its effects on the population, the environment and the economies, the need for qualified experts in various fields is perceived and hence The DAAD extends to contribute to the international efforts in disaster prevention management by offering German Foreign Office-funded special fellowships and research grants in these areas.

Eligibility

• Candidates must be employed in research institutions, universities or in the public sector in India and must have excellent academic records and recommendations.
• The candidates must specify their current area of research/ proposed research topic/ study course with placement at German university or research institute.
