BWPI PhD Scholarships
Brooks World Poverty Institute(BWPI) is a new multi-diciplinary centre of excellence that builda on the University of Manchester's long-standing tradition of research in social and economic development.
There will be up to four BWPI PhD Scholarships available from 2007-08. The total award would be up to 50000 pounds over three years to cover full fee costs and contributin to maintenance. Successful candidates will be full-time PhD student registered at the BWPI and will recieve research training through attendance of appropriate programmes at either the School of Enviornment and Development or the School of Social Sciences depending upon topic selection.
Requirements For BWPI PhD Scholarship
Candidates with disciplinary backgrounds in any relevant social science subject area are encouraged to apply (anthropology, development studies, economics, geography, planning, politics and sociology).
How To Apply For The Scholarships
Candidates will need to apply to study for a PhD via the normal university process.
