Rural Management

Overview: It addresses the challenges faced by rural co-operatives and development organisations. Graduates attain the skills required to address issues pertaining to socio-economic problems faced by the rural industries. It sensitises candidates to numreous developmental issues.

Modules: Economic analysis, individual and group behaviour, rural society and polity, rural livelihood systems, rural research methods, financial management, gender and development, managing co-opreatives, rural development interventions, social entrepreneurship and ethical leadership. Fieldwork forms an integral part of course.

Future prospects: Co-operatives, NGOS, government development agencies, national and international donors, consultancies and banks in information systems, production management, marketing, finance, accounts, HRD, rural development and natural resource management.
