The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) conducts Common Admission Test (CAT) for entrance for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. The CAT 2018 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. The exam will be conducted in two sessions at test centres spread across 147 cities.
The total duration of the test will be 180 minutes As per official data, some questions in each section may not be of multiple choice types Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
The exam would be divided into three sections:
Section I: Verbal ability and reading comprehension.
Section II: Data interpretation and logical reasoning.
Section III: Quantitative ability.
The selection is based on Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), followed by a Personal Interviews (PI) round. All the selected candidates will get admission in around 20 IIM institutes established in various parts of the nation.
