Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Exam 2014 September Session Notification

The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) for the September 2014 session will be conducted on September 21 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This exam is conducted for testing a candidate's ability to be appointed as a teacher for classes I to VIII. The last day for submitting the application forms for the same is August 4, i.e. today. The fee can be deposited till August 6.

The application procedure is quite simple. The candidates need to visit the official website: http://ctet.nic.in/ Thereafter, the candidates are required to fill in the application forms, inserting all details. Also, the candidates should upload their photographs and signatures. The candidates can pay the challan at Syndicate Bank or through debit card/ credit card, they can pay the fee. The candidates should take a print out of the same.

Application fee:

Paper - I or Paper - II: Rs 600 (general/ OBC), Rs 300 (SC/ ST/ Diff. Abled)

Paper - I & II: Rs 1000 (general/ OBC), Rs 500 (SC/ ST/ Diff. Abled)

Paper I is held for candidates who wish to teach classes I o V and Paper II is held for candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII. The candidates who wish to attempt Paper I should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year diploma in elementary education. And the candidates who wish to attempt Paper II should have completed graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
