From the study of the marine animals, researching and developing the drugs and survival mechanism for human is all about the Marine Biotechnology. Marine biotech also explores the possibility of using Marine life for transplants. For example, researchers are studying about the option of using corals for bone transplantation.

As far as the number of courses is concerned, the field does not have many courses as of now but few institutes offer programs in the postgraduate and research level.
