Punjab & Sind Bank invites Applications from Indian Citizens for appointment in Clerical Cadre (Clerk cum Cashier) and for appointment of officers in JMGS- I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III.

Scale of Pay for Clerical Cadre: Rs. 4,410/- - Rs. 13,210/-

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2010) for Clerical Cadre: Minimum 18 years Maximum 28 years (relaxable for SC/ST/PH candidates)

Eligibility for Clerical Cadre: Pass with minimum 60% (55% marks For SC/ST/PC/ Ex-Servicemen) in aggregate in Higher Secondary examination / 10+2 of 10+2+3 pattern OR its equivalent from a recognized Board OR Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University.

Post Educational Qualification Experience
Probationary Officer Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (for SC/ST/ PC –50%).
Computer qualification like diploma in computer operation from NIIT, SSI, DOEACC course / certificate…. essential.

Technical Officer Degree in Engineering in the respective field of  Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Two years desirable
Chartered Accountant Graduate of any recognized university with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) . Candidates having experience of minimum two years in Banking / Financial Institutions. Fresh CAs, who are likely to complete their degrees up to 30.04.2010, may also apply
EDP Officer (MMGS-II) Degree in Engineering in the field of Computer Science/IT or MCA Two years in any bank/financial institution in the cadre of JMGS-I. or equivalent.
EDP Officer (MMGS-III) Degree in Engineering in the field of Computer Science/IT or MCA Five years in any bank/financial institution out of which minimum two years should be in MMGS-II or equivalent

Selection Procedure:

  • For Clerical Cadre: Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together.
  • For Officer Cadre: Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and/or interview taken together.

How to Apply:

  • For Clerical Cadre: Application should be on the prescribed format. The application must accompany a Demand Draft/ Pay Order of Rs.300/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH categories) favouring “Punjab & Sind Bank A/C Clerical Recruitment Project – 2010-11” payable at ‘Mumbai’. Candidate’s Name, Address and Name of the Centre should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/ Pay Order.
  • For Officer Cadre: Application should be on the prescribed format. The application must accompany a Demand Draft/ Pay Order of Rs.400/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH categories) “Punjab & Sind Bank- Recruitment Project 2010-Probationary Officers” payable at ‘Mumbai’only for post code 1 and Punjab & Sind Bank- Recruitment Project 2010-Specialist Officers” payable at ‘Mumbai’ only for post codes 2 to 7. Candidate’s Name, Address/Post applied for and Name of the Centre should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.
