Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test is an entrance examination conducted for admission to MBBS in Unaided Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. UPCMET is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA). Students from all over India can appear for UPCMET for admission to the member colleges of Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association.
There are 9 unaided medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh admission to which is done through UPCMET. The entrance exam for UPCMET is conducted in eleven major cities of Uttar Pradesh along with seven other state capitals. A large number of students from across the country appear in UPCMET for admission in the member colleges of Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% marks in PCB(40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2012can also apply.
Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2012.
Availability of forms for UPCMET 2012:
The forms for UPCMET are expected to be available by February in selected branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce across a number of cities in India and also from the member institutes. The form can also be obtained by post from UPUMCWA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
