Indian Maritime university invites applications for admission to the following courses in IMU campuses and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2010-11 (August 2010 batch)

B.Tech (Marine Engineering) in affiliated institutions of IMU only Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc (Nautical Science)

B.Sc in Ship Building and Repair

Eligibility criteria: Applicants must be 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or university with an aggregate of 60% marks for B.Tech and 55% marks for Diploma and B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in English in either 10th or 10+2 (candidates appeared and awaiting for results can apply)

Selection procedure: Selection is based on performance of candidate in IMU-common entrance test (IMU-CET) which is scheduled to be held on 19th June 2010 (Saturday) between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kendriya Vidyalaya schools all over India and subsequent counseling at IMU Chennai

Applications must be submitted along with demand draft for Rs 800/- (Rs 450/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Indian Maritime University payable at Chennai Filled in applications along with demand draft should be sent to Academic section, Indian Maritime University, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai-600119 in an envelope superscribing application form for B.Tech (Marine engineering)/application form for diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc (Nautical Science)/application form for B.Sc in Ship Building and Repair Before31st May, 2010
