BHU PG Admissions Entrance Test

Banaras Hindu University, shortly known as BHU is one of the renowned Institutes of Medical Sciences in India, located in Varanasi. BHU opens PG Admissions for MD and MS for the academic session starting from 2007. BHU admits candidates for the MD and MS courses through an entrance test conducted on All-India Basis in Varanasi.

BHU 2007 Eligibility for MD & MS
The candidate must have passed MBBS or equivalent degree/recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).
The candidate must complete one year Compulsory Rotating Internship on or before 30, April 2007.
Candidates who have done MD/MS course are not eligible for admission.
Foreign medical degree holder should attach attested copy of MBBS equivalence certificate from MCI.
Application Details Of BHU Exam
Application form can be either downloaded from BHU website: www.bhu.ac.in
or can be obtained from Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU Varanasi-221005 from 20.11.2006 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope (24 * 30 cm) and a DD of Rs.100.00 in favour of "Director, IMS, BHU" payable at Varanasi by post till 21.12.2006 and in person till 30.12.2006.
Envelope for the form-request should be marked as "MD/MS FORM REQUEST". Duly completed application form (all the four pages) including 3 photographs and the application fee must reach the Director's office of the undersigned on or before 30.12.2006
Evaluation, Result & Selection
Examination will be conducted only at VARANASI. There will be only one test paper common to all the subjects. The test paper will consist of 200 objective types of questions drawn from subjects taught in MBBS.
Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The qualifying marks are 50% of the aggregate for general candidates and 40% for S.C. / S.T. candidates.
Not withstanding any thing to the contrary contained anywhere in the ordinances of the university, no scrutiny / revaluation of the answer sheet shall be allowed on any ground.
